That Girl's look is on fire...
This week on Dancing on Ice we had to say goodbye to Lauren Goodger. She came, she skated and
she took on the nasty judge we all love to hate……Jason Gardiner!
Showing off her newly acquired ice-dancing skills she gracefully glided around the rink to ‘That girl is on fire’ by Alicia Keys, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to stay in the competition.
You can recreate Laurens fierce look with Miners Cosmetics….
Eyes
Start by taking Eyeshadow Quad in Goddess. Using the darkest shade, apply to the crease of your eyelid and work your way up and out to the outer corner of your eye, taking care to work at a 45 degree angle. Top Tip – For an ultra-smokey look apply this shade just under the lower lash line, ensuring any fall out is carefully wiped away.
Using the contrasting olive and gold shades, apply with an eyeshadow brush from the inner corner of your eye and blend into the darker shade you applied earlier.
The key to this smokey eye look is that it can be seen when the eye is open; so ensure you gently blend the eyeshadow above the crease of your eye socket.
You now need to line your eyes; to do this you will need Colour & Kohl in Black. Completely line along both the upper and lower lashes making sure you reach all the hard to get areas. For the really brave among us you can go for the full on kohl look; gently applying the pencil just inside your eye along the lash line.
To complete Laurens sultry stare you will need Voluptulash in Extra Black. Apply several layers for a fuller, bolder look.
Face
To create any professional look it is important to start with a flawless base, start by covering any slight blemishes with Complete Base Concealer (taking care to select the correct shade for your skin type). Lightly blend and smooth Complete Base Foundation with a foundation brush to create an even finish. Add a flush of colour to your base with Blusher Brick in Browns; you can ensure maximum colour coverage by simply using a blusher brush and applying to the apples of your cheeks.
Finally you need to set your base. To do this you will need Complete Base Powder (again, taking care to select the relevant shade) and a powder brush. Apply a fine dusting to your face starting from the forehead and working your way down the face. This will not only give a matte look but will also lock in the colour and your make up will last longer.
Lips
Laurens lips are a matte yet vibrant red. The lip colour she has used is The Matte Factor in Warm Red. Although it is a matte finish, The Matte Factor is not drying, so apply as many coats as you like to create a deep and pigmented pout.
Miners Top Tips: Make sure you prime your eyes with foundation before applying any eyeshadow and liner etc. This gives the shadow something to cling onto and ensures your look lasts a lot longer.
